To measure your belly, locate your hipbone, wrap a tape measure just above the bony point at your hip and take your reading.
How do you get rid of extra belly fat? Start with picking better carbs. Focus on the ones with a low glycemic load. These carbs stabilize your blood sugar, which prevents a spike in insulin. Insulin spikes encourage fat storage. So when insulin goes up, your belly goes out.
