I arrived at this challenge after about 4 months of research regarding inflammation and how to stop it in the body. I was in a lot of pain and never knew why. My doctor just told me to take anti-inflammatories and pain meds for the rest of my life. At 55, that was not an option for me. So, I started my research. I am living proof now that a Keto diet works not only for weight loss, which it certainly does since I lost about 15 pounds so far, but it also helps the body heal itself. Today, I am virtually pain-free. As an added bonus, I was hardly ever hungry, have no more sweet cravings, and can today easily (for the most part) withstand the temptation of sweets, donuts and all the other junk food that is constantly presented to us. My recommendation for everybody is this: Try it. It is hard in the beginning, but it works and not only for weight loss.

Worth the effort - coming from a place where cooking wasn't really 'my thing' - once the effort is made and you experience how delicious the food is, you realise it's worth the effort, and results appear. Certainly was hard to accept that butter, cream, cream cheese, etc., is now acceptable to eat when my brain was screaming "NOOoooo" every time I used them after being conditioned from years of other diets that omitted them.
